Highlights from Greek Life Philanthropy Season

Highlights from Greek Life Philanthropy Season

Greek life philanthropy season is one of our favorite stretches of the year. Every chapter brings its own cause, its own colors, and its own energy — and we get to build something tailored around all of it. Here are a few highlights from this past season at UNC and NC State.

Zeta Tau Alpha — Franklin 5K (Year 36)

ZTA's Franklin 5K just marked its 36th year, raising money for the ZTA Foundation and breast cancer education and awareness — the chapter's cause close to home. "Think Pink" ribbons on the race logo, a blue and white balloon garland, and a full custom menu built for the morning: Zeta Love and Franklin Blooms, plus a Rise & Shine coffee bar to keep runners fueled.

Omega Phi Alpha — NAMI Philanthropy Run

Omega Phi Alpha's philanthropy supports NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness), and it showed in every detail — a green, white, and gold balloon garland, fresh-squeezed OJ, and two signature drinks built around the theme: Good Day Sunshine and Self Care Citrus. Healthy, electrolyte-rich, and exactly the kind of post-race refuel a field of runners needed.

Sigma Nu — Moms & Mimosas

Sigma Nu's Moms & Mimosas was all about taking care of the moms and making them feel like the queens they are. We built a full Moms Weekend brunch bar around it — a Momosa Bar, Honeycomb Cold Brew, and a Peach Blossom Latte, all hand-chalked on our sandwich board.

Pi Beta Phi — Eve Carson Memorial 5K

Pi Beta Phi is a beneficiary of the Eve Carson Memorial 5K, alongside the Eve Marie Carson Memorial Junior-Year Merit Scholarship — one of the most well-supported philanthropy events in the Carolina community. For these early morning races, coffee hits the spot, so we built a full custom coffee menu: Golden Arrow, Blue Butterfly Angel, Old Well Latte, and Heel Fuel, served hot or iced with a choice of milk and syrup. Rameses even stopped by the trailer for a photo.

Why We Do This

For every philanthropy event, we waive our service fee — it's our way of putting something back into the cause instead of just showing up for it. A menu built around what a chapter is raising money for, styled in their colors, is our favorite kind of event to build.

Planning Your Chapter's Next Event

If your sorority or fraternity has a philanthropy event, a race, a Parents Weekend, or a Senior Send-off on the calendar, now's the time to lock in your date before the season fills up.
