So What Exactly Is a Dirty Soda?
If you've been on TikTok lately, you've seen them — tall cups filled with carbonated soda, a splash of cream, flavored syrup, and sometimes a squeeze of citrus. The result? Something that tastes like a gourmet treat but has zero alcohol. Dirty sodas started trending in Utah, went viral nationwide, and now they're showing up at weddings, baby showers, and birthday parties everywhere.
At The Hitching Post, we took that idea and made it our own — using our hand-crafted syrups, fresh citrus, and quality mixers to create dirty soda bars that have guests coming back for seconds (and thirds).
Why They Work at Any Event
The beauty of a dirty soda bar is its versatility. Everyone can enjoy it:
- Guests who don't drink alcohol feel celebrated — not like an afterthought
- Pregnant guests get something just as exciting as everyone else
- Kids love them (keep it simple, skip the cream)
- Designated drivers finally have something to rave about
And because they're visually stunning — layered colors, ice, fresh garnishes — they photograph beautifully. Your guests will be posting them before they even take a sip.
What Goes Into a Hitching Post Dirty Soda?
We don't use store-bought syrups or powdered mixes. Every syrup we use is made by us, from scratch — lavender, rosemary simple, hibiscus, seasonal fruit reductions, and more. We pair them with quality sodas (Topo Chico, Q Mixers, fresh-squeezed citrus) and a touch of cream or coconut milk for that signature silky finish.
A few crowd favorites we've served:
- The Garden Fizz: Topo Chico + lavender syrup + lemon + coconut cream
- The Peach Porch: Peach soda + rosemary syrup + splash of heavy cream + fresh peach
- The Pink Lemonade Stand: House lemonade + hibiscus syrup + club soda + mint
Can I Add a Dirty Soda Bar to My Event?
Yes — and it pairs beautifully with any of our packages. Whether you're booking The Trot for a photoshoot backdrop or The Gallop for a full cocktail experience, we can incorporate a dirty soda station. It's especially popular at daytime events, bridal showers, and baby showers where you want something festive but alcohol-free.
